Introducing a very unique find, a vintage 1970’s Does Edwardian Era, Watercolor Floral Print, peplum maxi dress with fluttery bell sleeves. Even though it is made with very modern synthetic materials, it imparts such a turn-of-the-century vibe, does it not? So delicate and feminine! Featuring a shimmery-peach polyester under-dress with a long column skirt, which has been covered with a sheer, gauzy bodice. The overlay has been printed with gorgeously rendered, Impressionist style, watercolor roses and trimmed in cream lace. It has the most lovely 3/4’s bell sleeves and a sheer, gathered peplum panel. I love the contrasting blue colors! With the right hat, you would blend right into any Edwardian garden party, should you ever decide to go time-traveling.

TO RECREATE THIS LOOK, you can find that great, vintage 1940’s straw hat in my items here. It went perfectly!

This dress is in excellent vintage condition. I found no major flaws. Clean and ready to wear. There are no surviving labels. It is unlined and closes in back with an acrylic zipper. Most likely, a gently-handwash-in-color-water-&-line-dry type scenario for care, to increase longevity.

Sizewise, I would estimate that this dress hovers a fine line between a modern XS-Small. But please see the measurements below. They were all taken with the garment laying flat, seam to seam, and have already been doubled where necessary. Please compare them to a similar garment of your own. There is moderate stretch to the fabric.

For reference, the lovely Sierr is 5’8″ tall and a modern XS-Small. It fit her beautifully! As you can see, the skirt is fairly long, so I would recommend it for a girl with a similar long, lean build, unless you are a crafty lady, good at alterations….or intend to wear platforms? See measurements below.

Shoulders->14″ (35+ cm)
Bust->35″ (89 cm)
Waist->26″ (66 cm)
Hips->36″ (91+ cm)
Sleeve length->19″ (48+ cm)
Entire length->60″ (152+ cm)

This dress is so nostalgic and unusual <3 I’ve never seen another like it. And I only have one, so if you love it, don’t let it get away!
